Breitling
Breitling was founded by Léon Breitling in Saint-Imier in 1884 and moved to Grenchen a few years later. The company became closely linked with chronographs and aviation, developing early independent chronograph pushers and the slide-rule bezel used for flight calculations. After the quartz era it was revived under the Schneider family, and since 2017 it has been owned by private-equity investors, currently led by Partners Group. Its catalogue is organised around the Navitimer, Chronomat, Superocean, Avenger and Premier lines, many fitted with its in-house B01 chronograph calibre.
