Chopard

Chopard was started in 1860 by Louis-Ulysse Chopard in Sonvilier in the Swiss Jura and later moved to Geneva. In 1963 it was bought by the Scheufele family, German jewellers who still own and run it, and it now produces both jewellery and watches. Its watch range stretches from diamond-set pieces such as the Happy Sport, with loose stones moving between two crystals, to the L.U.C line of in-house movements made in Fleurier. The house is also a long-time sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival and designs its Palme d'Or trophy.
