F.P. Journe

F.P. Journe is the independent Geneva manufacture of French-born watchmaker François-Paul Journe, who launched his own brand in 1999 after years restoring antique clocks and building pieces for other houses. Its motto, Invenit et Fecit, reflects his practice of both designing and producing the movements, which are notable for their 18k rose gold plates and bridges. Output is small. Well-known models include the Tourbillon Souverain, the resonance chronometer and the Chronomètre Bleu, alongside the electromechanical Élégante. The brand is family-controlled; Chanel acquired a minority stake in 2018.
