Girard-Perregaux
Girard-Perregaux counts its history from 1791, when Jean-François Bautte began making watches in Geneva, while the present name comes from the 1850s marriage of watchmakers Constant Girard and Marie Perregaux in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The firm is known for its tourbillon with three parallel bridges, first patented in the nineteenth century, and for the Laureato, an integrated-bracelet sports watch from 1975. After a period under the Kering luxury group, it returned to independent ownership in 2022 through a management-led buyout of its parent, Sowind.
