H. Moser & Cie traces its roots to Heinrich Moser, a watchmaker from Schaffhausen who founded a trading and watchmaking business in St Petersburg in 1828. The name lapsed during the twentieth century and was revived in 2005, and since 2012 the company has been owned by the Meylan family's MELB Holding. Based near Schaffhausen, it produces its own movements and balance springs. The brand is recognised for fumé dials that shade from a bright centre to a dark edge, minimal dials without logos, and occasionally satirical concept pieces.
