Orient

Orient is a Japanese watch brand whose company was formed in Tokyo in 1950, continuing a local watch business that dated back to the early twentieth century. It has concentrated on affordable mechanical watches, making its own automatic calibres at a time when most rivals at similar prices used quartz, and sells a higher-grade line under the Orient Star name. Seiko Epson took full ownership in 2009 and later absorbed Orient's operations into its own watch division. Familiar models include the Bambino dress watch and the Kamasu and Mako divers.
