Samsung

Samsung Electronics, part of South Korea's Samsung business group, was founded in 1969 in Suwon and became one of the world's largest makers of phones and consumer electronics. It began selling wrist devices with the Galaxy Gear in 2013 and introduced the Galaxy Watch name in 2018. Since 2021 the watches have run Wear OS, developed jointly with Google, and they pair primarily with Android phones. The range emphasises health sensing, including sleep and body-composition analysis, with Classic models keeping a physical rotating bezel and Ultra models aimed at outdoor use.
